| I have been a lurking member here for a couple of months and have been reading all the sections of this wonderful forum. I am very glad that I found this site. I have a 2008 Suzuki S83 and have noticed that there isn't much information about this motorcycle on the site. Is the S83 a unpopular style? I have been searching for info on windshields and other add-ons that will upgrade this lovely bike but I can't seem to find info about my bike Sorry to rant like this but I am starting to wonder if I made a bad choice. |

| bad choice? dunno.. do you like your bike? if the answer is yes, then you didn't make a bad choice i'm not sure why the s83 doesn't seem popular... maybe due to not having that much demand for parts, they just don't make them... look around to see if the s83 shares components with other bikes and you may find more aftermarket parts..

| oops... just realized that the s83 is the new name for the VS1400 Intruder. you might want to try Intruder Alert - Suzuki Intruder and Boulevard Owners Club and see if previous years of the intruder vs1400 shares many components to the s83..

| The S83/ intruder 1400 is aq great biek, with very few mechanical problems. But it does not sell well any more- it just isn't the same style as the bikes that are popular today. But that's why I like it- it does not blent in with the crowd. Great performance also, with good acceleration and handling. Anything listed as fitting the Intruder 1400 or VS1400 will fit your bike. Most companies just did not update their listing when Suzuki changed the name.

| I had an '03 Intruder 1400. I loved the styling and it had the most comfortable stock seat of any bike I've ever owned (and I owned quite a few!) The bike is lightning quick and handles well. The problems I had was: too small gas tank, very few choices for after-market parts, not good for longer, 2-up riding. The S83 isn't for everyone, but it's classic styling still makes it unique in this cookie-cutter world of motorcycles.
