Default Who has good prices for accessories?

I have been looking at things like floor boards, hard saddle bags, and light bars and I have been amazed at the prices. I even saw small clocks to mount the the handle bars for $50 for a clock that is worth $5

Are there vendors out there with more reasonable prices?

Depends on your definition of "reasonable". Not that it will help you but I use boulevardsuzuki.com for some of my stuff, mostly OEM.

The problem with accessories is that as soon as they're chromed, the manufacturer thinks it's a license to print money. Thankfully most of the good sites were linked already.

I agree, that is the frustrating part. I am in manufacturing, and know about manufacturing costs. My most expensive part to manufacture is 50 lbs of steel and very complicated, and is relatively inexpensive to make. Now granted I would have to put about $700 into die costs to make a part that is sold $300 retail, and if it was not for dies I would make the parts myself. LOL

I could not beleive it when I saw a clock for $50 that mounts on the handle bars. or hard saddle bags for over $600.

It's just like everything else, you gotta shop around. I found a front fender guard for $100 at one site, but only $57 on another and that included shipping. Exact same guard. You'll see that you may find something cheaper at a place, but that doesn't mean everything they sell will be cheaper. Gotta shop around.

Shopping around is best. Try denniskirk.com for bags, they have a great site, show inventory, and ship same day out of Minnisota. Metric Thunder is good as well. JC whitney can have some good deals also.

Was pleased with meancycles service and just ordered saddle bags from Accessories International. They were cheaper than the leatherlyke, the manufacturer of the bags I'm buying and shipping cost less, Haven't received the order yet, though.

Hope this helps.

That's what I do, with the exception of the matte black. Tho, there is quite a bit available for a VZ800, but, not what I want! (I don't want a Kuryakyn cookie cutter bike!) See for yourself: http://www.motorcycle-journal.com/fo...look-like.html
