the worst thing about riding?

Let's see just this weekend, between the severe thunderstorms and tornadoes, it's been pretty bad.

Inspiron... you are 60 mi or so away... ... the NAS museum is in an old blimp hangar in Tillamook.
Spruce Goose and the pic you posted is in McMinnville at the Evergreen Air Museum. This place is awesome...and has a IMax theater now too.

they are BOTH great places to ride to and visit !

Here on Maryland's Eastern Shore is chickens!! What's even worse is the trucks carrying dead-decayed chicken parts and skin.....it stinks to high heaven.....

One of the trucks had an accident, there were slick chicken guts everywhere.......and STIIIINK!!!!!!!!

Got around them, only to stop again for gas and the trucks passed me......you could smell these trucks a mile ahead of you!! it was real bad.....

I'd say road kill and total white out foggy conditions.
Had the pleasure the other morning after a mid. Total misty fog sitiation. half shell and glasses. I felt like the FLY. From now on half shell for the fun ride and the full face for the work ride. That and the cow/chicken farm fumes. Yuk!

Getting the Rednecks from the truck in front of you dumping their spit cups out the window and wearing a half shell. That was the worst for me.

I think you mentioned one of the few advantages of being in WI.

worst thing about riding?

I don't hardly know; only drove the bike to work twice. Weather has been extra crummy (record flooding).

All of these make for good reading but the worst thing about riding for me is having to stop. When I get to where I am going I want to go again, and again, and again..........

Will the madness ever stop?

I got stuck once behind a Valley Proteins truck. It was transporting leftover cow parts, I guess to process for Chinese food or somehting. I could see hundreds of cow legs sticking up out of the top of the trailer. It was a smell that came back to me for days afterwards. It took a week or two before I could eat red meat again after that experience.

I dunno, THE FREEWAY IS CLOSED. Between Johnson Creek and Waterloo (a stretch of road nearly 30 miles) Insterstate 94 is CLOSED due to FLOODING.

Don't remember that ever happening before.

Be glad you don't ride a Harley or other air-cooled bike, where you get the extra fun of eyeing your temp gauge and shutting off your bike so it doesn't overheat while you're in traffic.
