Hahahaha... Now we've got a weedeater sound to go with our angry lawnmower sound!

I've searched the Yam 650 site on here in the past for mod ideas for our M50s. I came up with nothing. Not a lot of action there. The obvious is get new pipes. But that's costly. I can't do that yet cause I don't make the big bucks like everyone else on this site. Search the net with "650 and 'exhaust mod" if you haven't already. I've read that the '07 and '08 models have got catalutic converters in them that the '06 and before do not.

If all else fails, go down two blocks and take a right onto Suzuki Boulevard and hang with us. You might get an idea that you can use. If not, we're still glad you joined us. Beware though, we don't let friends drive weedeaters.

Probably some folks with similar bikes who can steer you toward better sounding pipes but if you think that alone will improve your performance, you will likely be dissapointed.......placebo effect not withstanding.

Have you done any searching here yet?
If not, give it a go. Might be surprised what you find.

My friend just traded his 650 star in on the 1300...but when he had it, we installed the Cobra Slip ons...and it sounded GREAT! It'll never be deep like a Harley or bigger cruiser though. If you want that sound, you shoulda bought a bigger bike

I've got Vance / Hines on my wifes bike. Sound good, even w/ the baffles in.

My wife's VStar 650 has V&H Cruisers on them and they sounds great. Deep throaty sound.
