Default Good Sound but not Obnoxious

I'm looking for exhaust that sounds good, but is not obnoxiously loud. I don't mind an increase in volume to an extent, but what I really want is that sweet deep rumble.

Is there an aftermarket exhaust out there that sounds good but isn't going to be obnoxious?

Sound is a subjective thing. Everyone has their own definition of what is "good". A high performance exhaust system that can be quieter is the Roadhouse Classic 2 into 1. There are performance and optional quiet baffles for that exhaust. There are a lot of folks to like the Hard Krome, Cobra and V&H systems and even find them quiet without debaffling. I would disagree. All of those companies now sell a quiet core baffle, but since so few people use them, I couldn't tell you what the result is like.

I use the Cobra Speedster slashdowns and thought the sound was pretty loud at first, but came to appreciate it after about a week. At cruise, it just makes a noticeable deep rumble, but opens up on acceleration. Other traffic notices the bike, and that's good. If you're respectful of where you use the sound, you won't generate complaints, and its kind of fun when kids ask you to roll the throttle so they can hear the thunder. Besides, setting off car alarms can become a fun past-time.

Debaffle or the V&H Cruzers are probably the best bet for your C50. Do a search for "fibrosleeve" in the M50 Secret Hideaway. Debaffling and making one of those should get you a nice deep sound that isn't too obnoxious and should only cost you a few bucks.

I am happy with the V&H Cruzers on my C50. I have not taken the baffles or the packing out yet either.

It is not very loud, especially at speed. Still enough there to know it.
