| I just got by bike on friday and i love it but I would like it to make a little more noise( I am not doing it to compensate for anything I just dig the sound). Since the first thing I am saving for is some forward controls and new wxhaust will have to wait. I have studied all of the posts relating to this subject, but I am still a bit confused. Could any one direct me to where I could find step by step directions for my particular bike? Also I was wondering when you star, do you drill out the rivets for the piece that is in the end of the stock pipes that hs the small hole in it? Thank you guys in advance Chris

| In Training ![]() | yeah you start by drilling out the 3 rivets that hold on the chrome cover on the end of each pipe. then take a whole saw and you have to cut/drill through 3 little rings of steel to be able to remove the baffle. it make a nice lower and louder noise. not to loud but not to quiet. also you might wanna check out Marauder Intruder Group, Suzuki Motorcycles, Boulevard, Intruder 1500LC, Marauder, Intruder 1400, Intruder 800 and check out the projects section they have a very detailed report on doing the bafflectomy. and congrats on the bike.

| Thanks again Cycloptic. That link made it super easy. I just completed the bafflectomyand my bike Sounds sooooo sweet. with the hole saw it only took about 1/2 hour and one skinned knuckle. Going to go make some noise and get some bugs on the windshield!
