Default Finally got to go riding!

Well we finally had a pretty nice day to take our new C50 out for a drive. It was still only in the high 60's but by far the nicest day since I got it. The wife and I met up with another couple and drove about 60 miles today, our friends just got a new bike too, a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom, very nice bike as well. I got about 130 miles on her now, first tank I got 42 mpg. Most of it has been riding double so I didn't think that was too bad, actually the bike handles two up very well I think. I did notice a fair amount of buffeting behind the windshield, I've read that those wind deflectors that you can put on the front forks help a lot for that. Anybody have any experience with them? So far I am very happy with my purchase. I've already told my wife that this will be her bike as soon as she gets her license and is comfortable driving it, then I get to start shopping again!!!

Congrats on getting out for a ride. 42 mpg doesn't sound too bad for 2up riding.

I put some Value Accessories lowers on my c50 and it made a big difference in the buffeting

One other question (for now). What's the best way to remove that damn warning sticker they put right in the middle of the top of the gas tank . I don't want to scratch the paint but it's ugly and I want it off! Thanks!

There are a few ways to get it off, try goo gone, some have used a hair dryer, me I just cheated and bought a tank divider. Whichever method you choose, do not use a razor blade, and take your time.

Lots of advice here. Use the search function button and you'll get a few.
