| I have an '07 C90T, and I feel the same about the tiny tank. But, there is a relatively cheap remedy. I just ordered a 4-gal tank from Tour Tanks. It's $179 plus shipping and bolts to your rack with its own tiedown system. Ah well....go look at them. They can explain it better than me! |

| The best I have gotten is 44mpg but I tend to be on the throttle often. Wonder what it would be if I were conservative? BTW, I have installed a 2.5 gal G-tank and so far I love it. Get low on gas, flip the switch and presto full tank of gas.

| I filled today at 111 miles with the gauge flashing and took on exactly 3.05 gallons for 37 MPG. Thats all city and some slow speed maneuver practice. I want that G-tank in the worst way. We have many locations here where the next gas station is beyond the range of the bike unless you have a full tank. For example, leave Monterey, CA southbound, and the tank gets thirsty near Big Sur where the only gas is crazy expensive; or out Hwy 50 into Nevada where services are up to the full range (130 miles) apart. It just makes me nervous watching the gauge flash and knowing I'm still 30 miles from the next station. I still remember Sea Ranch to Healdsburg via Skaggs Springs Road riding with a couple friends on K1200RT BMWs and I'm on fumes by the time we pull into Healdsburg. No problem but the last fill up was in Novato. |

| The G-tank is an excellent product. Probably the best fabricating I have ever seen. I highly recommend it!! Do you have stock exhaust on your bike Tom? If so for the G-tank the stock pipes will have to go.

| Stock seat height on the C50 and C90 are both 27.6 inches. Maybe you looked at a lowered C50? A guy at work parked his C90 next to my C50 and if you're not close, you can't really tell them apart. I like both bikes but I do not regret my years of C50 owning. I did put on better front brake pads ( I just put on another new set of EBCs) and a Galfer stainless steel brake line which made the front brakes really sweet. I've been on long 2up rides in the mountains with plenty of luggage and it has been great. I was used to riding a Concours, so revving a little higher didn't bother me. My fuel mileage experience has been always pover 45 and on some roadtrips over 50 mpg, making 150 mile stretches between gas no problem at all. The bike I keep looking at now is the VStar 1300 which is comparable to the C90. Maybe next year, the C50 is still going strong after 31,000+ miles. Good luck with whatever you choose, there are so many really good bikes now!

| Ya gotta go with the tourque. It's great low end power. The C-90T is a great fit, very smooth, lugs around great, will take off like a missle, looks great, don't have to ask the question if its powerful enough, easy to ride, Low. This is a cruiser not a touring long distance iron butt bike. after 120 -130 easy going miles your gonna want to stop and water the roses anyway. My only gripe is that it is too quiet. |

| I don't know about the C50, but I rode a C90 a couple of times and it was a big bike with a ton of torque. I prefer the VTX 1300 over the C90.

| Just checked the mpg - it is just short of 47. I ride almost only country roads at about 45 - 55+ mph. The C90 doesn't have the noise from the engine/gas tank area that was on the C50, and there isn't that fan noise in town either. The stretch to the handle grips is longer on the C90 - think I have to modify something there - my arms and hands are going numb on longer rides.... The C90 is more picky about which gear its in than the C50 was. C90 wants to be in lower gears longer. The C50 was more fun to ride - can't explain that though.

| I just did my milage again with a tank of fresh gas (not with stabilizer for the winter added). I got 50 mpg. With the C-50 usually around 53 mpg. Another difference is the heat thrown off around the leg area: Air cooled C-90 is hotter - good in cold weather bad in hot weather. C-50 is far more comfortable in summer.

| As I understand it, you have to install after market pipes that don't use a cross-connect tube. The tank goes where that tube was.

| Yamaha just announced the 2009 lineup of Star motorcycles. For folks looking to move up from the C50, Suzuki better take notice of this one.

| I own both a 2006 C50C and a 2003 Intruder VL1500 LC (C90 now) . I love the C50 on the back roads which we normally travel because of its light weight and nimble handling. No problem on long distance runs and much better gas mileage. The only area that the bigger bike comes into play is if you`re going to be doing any freeway riding as the revs are much lower and therefore doesn`t tire you out as much. Other than that the C50 is a fine bike for all occasions and I think you would be quite happy with it.
