| Well I just got an 04 Intruder 1500 and I am in need of a JAcket and a helmet. For the helmet I got a Full Face HJC and XXL barely fits My question is does anyone have any kind of expericen with this jacket and should I get perforated or non perforated, I live in LA. |

| I know what you mean about the helmets. In the real world, I have an average size head. Wear a 7-3/8 to 7-1/2 hat. In the motorcyle world, at least in HJC's corner of it, I have to get a XXXL helmet. XXL if I wear my slightly tight Zeus. You should be happy with the Joe Rocket. I've got both a Pheonix and a Revolution and they are very good jackets.

| I have two Joe Rocket two-piece textile suits. The older of the two is the Ballistic (3.0, I believe) and it's good in hot weather as long as you're moving (and the liner is removed, vents are open in the jacket and zippers partially opened on the legs). That was still way too hot for Tokyo gridlock so I got a Phoenix mesh suit. It's excellent. By the by, I'm 6'2", with a 54" chest, 19" arms, 19" neck. Both suits are XXXL and fit me fine - although the Phoenix pants are fairly tight - while the Ballistic pants will fit over street clothes.

| If you're going to do all of your riding in Southern California, I would suggest a mesh jacket. I have an XXL Gericke Venom jacket that is great in warmer weather while providing decent protection. Perf leather gloves are nice too, you get a better grip and a bit of protection. You may have to shop online for sizes local dealers don't carry. Enjoy your ride, nice bike choice!
