Default Roadliner/Stratoliner

I would like to hear from some of you who own and ride these bikes, I would like to know how you like your bikes and the pros and cons of them. I have a 05 Roadstar 1700 and thinking of selling/trading for a Roadliner/Stratoliner and wanted to hear from some owners on them. My Dad just bought the new Raider with this 1900 Engine and I know it is awesome with the Fuel Injection, this thing runs, when we go out riding he walks away from like nothing on that bike,
if he would only let me ride it to find out for myself.

Cool Strato

The Stratoliner is a nice ride AFTER you mess with the windshield, seat,POS saddlebags !
I rode 22,000 miles on mine last year.
Your roadstar is cheaper to own.
Your bike has WAY more accessories available.
You have many tires to choose from on your bike.
Tires are a BIG problem on the Strato.
I get 4,000 miles on a rear and 8,000,at best on the front.
The gas tank is too small.
Mines all tricked out for touring and it is a SWEET ride.

Thanks for the reply, I know my bike is cheaper to own and more accessories out there. My Bike is paid for and only 1400 miles and I just finished dressing it up like I want, I guess I would be crazy to sell/trade it. I wanted to hear from some of the owners out there as I was curious, I really do not want to start over, I will keep what I have.

Question No Excuse

You live WAY down south.
Southeast Louisiana.
Don't you like to ride very much ?
Man,that blows my mind. We get UNREAL WINTER up here
About the Tug Hill Region
and I still ride 18-25,000 miles a year.
I've never ridden less than 10,000 a year !
Hell,we got 3 FEET of snow yesterday !
Get out there. You're wasting a lot of precious time.

Ride Safe,

Go hear and check out how to improve your rides power. here

As for the roadliner Ive gotten about 3k mile son it so far and love it. Gas mileage I sacrificed for power. Its a great bike, it has its quirks and isnt perfect but oh well.

I get out and Ride every chance I get, we do have a pretty mild Winter season down here but we do get our cold spells. I do not let it stop me depending on the temp and wind.

I know it is low miles on the Bike, I bought it 6 months ago with 515 miles on it for $6700.00 and it is my first bike, that is one of the reasons I bought it. I ride every chance I get, I work offshore for 2 weeks and home 2 weeks and have to juggle work, riding, family ect. I get together with my Dad who just bought a New Raider and we are planning some Rides/Trips. I would like to join a Riding Club and meet some new people and get together.

Wink Welcome

OK,we'll stop raggin' on ya.
A man's gotta work. I'm older than you and have more free time.
I have always ridden a lot though.
I just can't get enough.
And yes we did get 3 feet of snow the other day.
The great lakes are a snow machine.
It's been good though 'cause I play in a band and the tourists are up here spending their $$$$$$$$$$ and that's a VERY good thing !

Thumbs up

I have both an 07 Strat and I love it. I also have a 08 Raider in my garage(My best friend stores it there) They're about equal in performance. The Raider is a bit quicker off the line, mostly because it's lighter I think. Once you get them both rolling though they're neck and neck.

I've added a few billet accessories; fender tips, shifter, brake pedal.

My most recent upgrades were a Cobra fuel processor and Patrick Racing High Flow Intake.

Cobra Speedster X-tra longs are in the mail.

Wink Pipes

The stock pipes make the most torque.
A Patrick BAK,PCIII & stock pipes make it a fast sleeper !
The EXUP does work well.

Took the Strat for about a 200 mile cruise today. The first real miles since installing the intake and processor. Rode a variety of terrain from flatland to 10-25 m.p.h. mountain switchbacks. I love the new rumble from the engine. You can really hear it thump now between 2000-4000 r.p.m. Gets up to 100 quickly and doesn't seem to mind doing it. The stock setup with the exup valve might make more power. but Iwant to make some noise.

The roadliner is one of the best...fast and comfortable. A big bike compared to the Rader. I have the RL and it is awesome...lots of room for a tall guy...the rader is a little short for me.

Got the Speedster x-tra Longs on today. Had one small issue with the O2 sensor but overall everything went smooth.

The bike runs & sounds great!

Can't wait to get itout of town and put some miles on the new pipes.

Man,those pipes look like they are very low !
Are they closer to the road than the stock pipes ?
I bet you'll scrape 'em.
Have fun.

The O2 sensor bung was a couple inches lower, but overall I don't think the pipes are much lower.

I've put a few hundred miles on it since the installation and they don't drag in the corners or anything.

I'll just have to pay attention if I back up to a curb I guess.

I love the way they look on the bike, and the sound they make puts a smile on my face every time I fire it up.

I think the reason they look so low may have something to do with the angle of the shot. (I'm 6' 3" and I took the pic from fairly close up looking down at the bike.)

I love my Stratoliner. My husband has the Roadstar. My bike handles alot better than his. His sounds better than mine though. I have Bub pipes on mine. He has Cobra pipes I think. But I feel my bike is the best thing on the road.
