| hi there, I am a new rider, since last fall and have just purcahsed my 1st bike a 2007 vulcan 900 classic. I was wondering if anyone has installed the easy brackets on this bike, and what they think of them,I was thinking of purchasing so I can remove my saddle bags whenever I want....and easily. I have found a dealer in Edmonton but would be open to any other places in Alberta that would sell them. laura |

| ![]() No experience with the Vulcan, but I did put a set of easy brackets on an M50 I had, they worked pretty much as advertised, except for the backing plate. It's to small if you mount leather bags to it. Works fine with hard bags. What winds up happening is the weight from stuff in the right side bag will fold it in after the bike has been sitting on the side stand for a period of time. What I did to fix the problem is get a 1/8 inch piece of aluminum plate, and cut a piece out that is the same shape, and slightly smaller than the back side of the saddle bags, than I painted it black to match the leather bags and bolted it to the bags, than I bolted that to the backing plate of the easy bracket. take your time when installing the mounting studs to the bike, if you don't get them just right, you'll have a bear of a time getting the bags on & off the bike.

| Great first bike...I looked at the vulcan, but opted for the C50T only due to finding a great price on one...

| Nice bike choice! I opted for the C50 because the Vulcan at that time (summer of '04) was an 800 that I didn't like as much. Sorry, no help on your question.
