Default Thanks...

for your advice to take 'common sense' approach...however, my question was more to do with 'expected behavior' based on the basics that these machines have built on and I do agree and understand that rider input would definitely have impact on the mileage... thanks anyway for your 2 cents

I find that the indicator will blink and then go off... roughly at 120 as you say.... it will blink again around 125 or 130 miles..... and then go off....and then come on solid around 135 - 140 miles on a tank. I have gone as much as 25 more miles before fill up after the light is on solid...and I still had gas sloshing in the bottom of the tank. I would say 'in general' that the bike would go at least 25 miles after the light is on solid...and should go 160 on a full tank ...pretty reliably...

So, after reading all those very informative replies in this thread; does it mean that I can still ride for another 60-70miles till the fuel completely runs out and the fuel indicator light will stay solid?

Appreciate any responses and thanks in advance!

I have a 17" Memphis Shades "Memphis Fats", and I'm pretty happy. I got even happier when I added the value accessories chrome air deflectors (link here)

My C50 can get about 200 miles per tank. My light comes on usually around 145 miles and stays on at 180. I always reset by "B" trip meter when I fill up on gas. My "A" trip meter I use when I change oil.

I have approximately 7500 miles on my bike and need a new back tire. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have a 2005 C50.

Thanks!

What kind of riding do you do??
I got around 13,000 miles and still had tread left on the rear.
I wanted to stay with the IRC's but the price here is way out of line.
I went with Bridgestone and find they are noiser over rough roads and don't
feel as good cornering.I am at 21,000 plus now and will pickup a set of IRC's down south next time I replace.

Most of my riding is in the 50-60 mph range, very little Freeway riding.
