Default Teknic jacket from RideGear TOO small

Folks,

General gear question. I ordered a jacket from RideGear (Teknic Sturgis) and I like its style and features. The problem is it's WAAAYYY too small! I ordered based on their size guide, but even eith allowances for armor, it was midget-sized.

I also ordered a pair of leather jeans (River Road), and though they are reasonable, they also fit way more snugly than I had expected.

Is this common for rider safety apparel? Do I just need to order the "Oh-my-Gawd" size, regardless of the charts? Or did RideGear/Teknic just blow it?

----Mike

Good question. I'm getting gear soon and have no real idea how tightly or loosely it's supposed to fit to protect you.

The joys or ordering apparel online. I was lucky that my Gericke Venom jacket fit perfectly.

Nah. I'm 6'6" and a whopping 165 pounds. I NEVER order clothing over the internet.
