I just started riding a couple of weeks ago, and the bike seems to run ok, possibly some power missing when accelerating at certain speeds. I havent ridden other bikes though so I cant say for sure. I had 2 mechanics and a good friend test ride it, they all say my clutch is worn out and that my carbs need cleaning. I got the carbs cleaned. When I bought the bike the last owner gave me spare parts he had including a clutch, which I had checked and its good. I am installing the clutch my self, and I have had a very hard time getting the exhaust pipes off. (Bike is a honda shadow 1983) Almost al the bolts and screws were frozen on with rust i assume. Ive broken or gotten them all off but the pipes still wont budge. It looks like they form fit into the exhaust system (im taking the pipes off becuase the clutch is behind them) The pipes are clean and not rusted but the exhaust unit where the muffler attaches to is rusted and it seems like the pipes are some how stuck to the exhaust almost as if its rusted onto the pipes. Are there any tricks on getting the pipes out of there? (hard to explain but where it is stuck is, not the end of the pipes coming out of the engine, but where the pipes go into another unit thats inbetween the pipes and the muffler)
