Default fuelish question

Got a brand new 2007 Vulcan 500, not quite 100 miles on it yet. The owners manual say any gas of at least 87 octang. What about using higher? Good or does it matter? Thanks

It would be waste of money to use other then recommended. But it could change if something changes like huge amout of carbon build up or something like that.

use 87 here, go up on octane when it's really hot out, helps with any hot weather knock if you get it
