I have an 86 intruder 700 the bike will turn over but wont start. I've got fire to the plugs, and gas, all the fuses are good, I am stumped what can it be

Let me guess: It has been sitting unused for a "long" time recently, like sometime in the past 6 months or so.

Gunked up carb(s). Easy test: Spray a LITTLE starter fluid (ether) into the intake housing (where the air cleaner is) and turn it over. Bet it fires for a few revolutions.

i had it running, cleaned the engine, I tried not to get anything major wet...then it just wouldnt start but i will try the starter fluid
