Default windshield installation v star 1300

I have a problem that i'm a little embarrased to ask for help with but here goes. i bought a stock v star 1300 beacuse i wanted it in blue and they don't offer the criuser in that color. bought the saddlebags, sissy bar and windshield separately.(actually ended up being cheaper than if i bought a touring model.) put the bags and sissy bar on myself with absolutely no problems. but i can't figure out the stupid windsheild and the directions suck. i get where it bolts at the bottom point but where it looks like it should be bolted on at the top is covered by smooth chrome "tabs". can someone help me out and explain this to me?

Hey Jesse , the smooth chrome tabs , are actually plastic , press in covers , if you use the edge of a knife under the head of the cover and prise it off , you will see a threaded hole to attach your windshield bracket , keep goin' mate , your doin' well ............hope this helps .......
