| Hi all this is my first post, been lurking for a while now but thought I'd join in. I ride an '07 Kawi Vulcan 900 Classic and can't recommend this bike highly enough! I have 2 friends that have them (one is a custom) and one that just got rid of his Suzuki C50 to convert to the dark side as well. I finally had to fill my gas tank last night on my bike. I kept track of the mileage and gas use to get an honest reading of my fuel mileage. I am actually getting 57 mpg!!! I'm thrilled! Now granted 80% of my riding is highway so Its probably less in town, but I don't live in town! Now the trick is to figure out a heater and snow tires..... |

| Nice! That's about 15 better than I'd get.

| LCA etc. I've found that although my speedometer is 10% high, more or less, the odometer is pretty well bang on. That's after cross-checking with my GPS on a couple of 1000 mile runs. So the mileage calculation should be bang on, as long as it's calculated over several tankfuls of gas. |

| True about the odometers. My Vulcan's works out the same as highway mile markers. The 900 is getting 50-52, and the 2000 does 43-47 mpg. Both on regular unleaded.

| I filled up my 06 C50T Saturday before my ride, and put 1/4 can of Sea Foam in the tank. I set the trip odometer to 0, and the low fuel light first came on at 160 miles. I figure that is about 53 mpg. Speeds were around 60 mph for most of the ride. I'm pleased.

| That's it, I gots to get me one of those 900 Vulcans. My old Yamaha gets about 35, maybe 37 mpg. Don't think I ever cracked 40. Although if I got the carbs rebuilt (don't want to learn, not to do it once or rather 3 times) and got the carbs tuned, I might make 40 mpg. All for only maybe 6 or 700 bucks. |
