Default C90 Annoyances

Wondered if any other Boulevard owners have the same annoyances I do:
(1) Hard starting - even when it is not cold (60-70 degrees F). I have to use my "cruise control" to open the throttle a little ways to keep it going for a minute until warm. (Dang - I miss that choke!)
(2) Gas cap cover rattles. Not the gas cap but the chrome, hinged, locked cover. Looks like it needs a thicker rubber gasket for a tight fit.

Is it just me or are these afflictions of the whole species?

I've never heard of any of those issues being a problem on a C90.
I'm sure a few who own a C90 will chime in soon enough.

Don't know the year of your bike, but if it's still under warranty the gas cap problem should be something they can fix under warranty if you can show them the rattle. It's hard to believe that little cover can be heard over the sound of the motorcycle --must be some kinda rattle.

If the bikes not under warranty, maybe it's time for some new pipes.
A louder exhaust will take care of that annoying rattle.

I have a 05’ C90 and have never had any kink of problem with starting. Mine fires first time every time. It does seem to idle on the high side for about a minute then settles down to standard idle. As for the gas lid are you missing the rubber bumpers where the lid seats?

Hi Rollo and welcome!
I have owned a 2005 C90 for about 2 months now, and have never had any of those problems. I hope your experiences otherwise have been/are enjoyable, and that you get the kinks worked out. I love my bike!
