| I am putting way to many miles on my Daytona 675 and really only wanted to use it for casual / twisties only. Because of this I have decided to purchase a "cruiser" to use for commuting which is a 75 mile round trip daily. After doing some research and reading othr's opinions I am leaning toward a Vulcan 900 Custom. If anyone has other suggestions or comments all are welcome. Thanks! |

| I have checked everything from the MeanStreak 1600 to the Honda 650. I ended up purchasing the C50 and I love the Bike. I am 6'2", 240 lbs and this bike has good power. Where I live, I travel over a summit with an altitude change of 3500 feet and the bike will do this with a problem, even with my wife on the back. It is a great bike.

| c50 for sure. I get 50 mpg all of the time on mine. The bigger the bike the lower the mileage. C50 is perfect for commuting.

| I commute about 50 miles a day on a C50 with added wind shield and saddle bags. It is a great machine. Plenty of power on the Intersate and plenty of fun on the twisties. jon

| I think you will find there is is not much in it when choosing between a C50 or the Vulcan 900. The December issue of Motor cycle cruiser does a good comparison test between the C50 and Vulcan 900. They both get good marks.

| If mileage is a concern. check out the S50. When just cruising I've gotten 60 mpg from time to time. You will need to adress the seat, but the combination of performane and fuel mileage will be hard to beat.
