Default New Boulevard C50

I went to the Lexington Suzuki dealer looking at 800cc cruisers The best deal they would give me on an '04 Maurauder was $5799. Down the road, in Harrodsburg I sat on a new '05 Boulevard C50 (Volusia 800 with Fuel Injection and driver floor boards) for $6095. It looks like I'll be picking up the '05 Boulevard C50 next week.

The only downside is that Volusia is a much cooler name than Boulevard. Why call all of your cruisers the same thing? It's like Chevy renaming all of their cars "Highway", making the Corvette the Highway C400 and the Cavalier Station Wagon the Highway P150.

I can live with it though, we'll see how it goes next week.

Hey Buddy,
Don't fool with Bells Suzuki!! Long winded story there, they suck. Keep going to Lee's in Harrodsburg, much better deals and service!! Trust me!

See Ya!!

I would agree with Poosey... I actually tried to deal with bells and no go... I inded up buying mine in Indiana S&S powersports and got a great deal. I have bought my gear form them though (Bell's) but be warned it takes a while to get something in that they do not have in stock AND it is cheaper to order it via their online ordering thatn it is buying it in the store.. 20% cheaper mind you. I called out the owner and asked why and he said that with shipping that it all evens out.. BUT i pointed out that there is an option to pick it up at the store to eliminate the shipping costs.. i have not heard back form them yet about that one..

I heard Lee's is good to deal with...

Yeah, I have to agree. I bought my used GZ 250 from Bell's and got a decent deal, but they are not even in the ballpark on the new bikes. I'm buying the '05 C50 (2-tone paint model) from Lee's for $6095 which is about $700 off MSRP with no additional fees at all. (Bell's charges $150 document fee and I don't know what else...) Since I'm in Versailles, Lee's is just as close as Bell's. The sales guy at Lee's was very knowledgable and not the slightest bit pushy. A very good deal indeed.

Bell's doesn't even have any '05 bikes and they don't know when they're going to get any.

The new Boulevard C50 is a really great bike. I'm looking forward to it, and I will certainly post here when I pick it up. I'll probably end up selling the Concours because the garage is getting full!

that is basically the same type of deal I got at S&S powersports in clarksville... the more and more i look the more and more I would not deal with Bell.. but people are buying from them soooooo.

I don't have an inside line on Suzuki, but it seems that using the Boulevard name is akin to Kawasaki and the Vulcan line (500, 750, etc.) or Yamaha and the Star line (Roadstar, V-Star, etc.).

Considering that they are intended for "Cruising" which might include the Boulevard, it's actually pretty good. IMHO.

Yamaha really has the best, because you can pretty much figure which is which by name, which is kinda what you are saying. Suzuki is trying to do it with Alpha Numeric designations.

It may just take some getting used to.

I bet you know what a Suzuki Boulevard C50 is.

You are probably right, the Vulcan and Star cruisers are good names so I will get used to Boulevard after a while.

Nice bike! I pick up my black C50 from Lee's next week and I couldn't agree more about Bell's. $6368 out the door (just $68 more than Bell's without tax, liscense, documentation fee....)

I ride a 2003 Black Vol. I am a 55 year old physician and a medical school professor. I see a lot of trauma. When I ride, it is with a bright yellow full face helmet, protective jacket (fabric and perforated leather from Joe Rocket for the summer and a full leather jacket for winter by Vanson), full finger gloves and boots. I am trying to decide about pants and I have just about decided to get an Aerostitch Roadcrafter suit and wear the pants for riding. I have no problem with brightly colored clothing (read nontraditional) and helmets. I intend to live a long life and enjoy my family, my bike and my career as long as God gives me life. I do not want to live as an invalid or have my life shortened.

I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks and neither should you. There are more important things in life than looking "cool" I have seen many an unprotected face chewed up. That doesn't look too "cool".

Think about what's important to you.

If you don't liek the Boulevard name brand, you can always remove the Boulevard tank emblem and pickup a pair of Volusia emblems on the cheap!
Good choice of bike. I've absolutely love my Volusia!!!

I've actually become quite fond of the Boulevard name after a few months and 2500 miles of good riding (and a few miles in some %%%%%ty rain) I may have to get a Boulevard T-Shirt or something besides the crystal paperweght they gave me.

The Boulevard C50 is a rockin' mid size cruiser that thinks it's bigger and acts like it too.

If you find any good Boulevard swag, give me a ping and let me know about it.

More than they did a few weeks ago, but be d@mned if I'm going to pay $60 for a sweatshirt. And I wouldn't be caught in Landry's neighborhood in a bowling shirt
