Default Loss of acceleration on 2007 c90T

Started having acceleration problems 3 weeks ago. The scenario; leave the house, go about 3 miles, try to accelerate and the bike won't. I keep throttling up and eventually it will break loose and run like a scared rabbit. I have no more trouble until I let it set for several hours and it will happen again. The FI light does not come on. I took it to the shop and they ran diags and could not find anything. They were able to duplicate the problem. I picked up the bike and they were going to call Suzuki. I did not ride for a couple of days and when I rode again, it did not happen. I called the dealer and we put things on hold. I rode 4 different days with no problems. Last Sunday it happened again. They are supposed to be getting in touch with Suzuki. My dealer has not seen this problem before. I feel certain we will get it resolved but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

That's got to be a PCM problem.
I wonder if it's a loose chassis ground from the computer assembly to the bike.

Most intermittent or temperature sensitive bugs are the ground connection.

Thanks Jim, I will take that info with me today when I head to the dealer to see if they have any info yet.

Sounds like you might have a bad gas cap.
your vent could have something in it, and be pluging up, off,and on causing a vacuum in the tank, and starving the engine for gas.
Next time it happens, loosen your gas cap.

It could also be an intermittent connection on one or more of the sensors that are giving information to the computer. Especially since it sounds like it is a problem when cold and goes away when the engine is hot.

when it happens does it feel like it's dogging or does it maintain the same power? I have as much mechanical knowledge as a pile of sand, but it may make all the difference.

If it's dogging, then I'd think that Rickster's right and the powerplant is starving for fuel, or that the throttle cable is fracked. If it is maintaining power but just not increasing, I'd lean toward a PCM issue.

Then again, I work on computers, not bikes. I know nothing.

My father in law had the same problem the other day. Going down the road and had no throttle. He parked the bike and found that the grip was loose. He pulled it off and used the sleeve to get him home.

You could have a flat/compressed/pinched fuel line as well.

If Bull's a member here...he could explain better what I'm talking about.
