My kids are in collage , for 1 complete touring bike with all the bells and whistles on it , tax= 32,000

I quess if your kids are grown a 500.00 payment for 5 yrs is not bad
Its kinda like chevy trucks , my 06 ext cab listed for 30,000 FOR A TRUCK .
The H-D were nice , enjoy your new ride
For a few more bucks you can buy the HD edition Ford pickup with a whole lot more gizmos and a powerhouse engine.

You're right Cowboy, if you need to go the payment route youre better to leave the dealer before your emotions take over. Better to walk away. Mine aren't driving yet so this is OK before I need to buy them cars. $500/month for 12 months of the year while only riding 5 really translates to over $1000 month for real use time. Plus don't forget insurance rate increase of $800 per year. Comes with the territory I guess.
The only way is write a cheque, take a deep breath and go out to enjoy. Prices are high because of a concept known as Capitalism. Harley made over $1 billion profit last year.
Here in Toronto, larger metrics are only about 10% cheaper than Harleys, Victroy is about same price but hardly any dealer network. I suppose the 10% premium is for character. Main thing is you need to love what you ride.

Congrats on the new ride. Those Street Glides are swwwwwwwwweeeeeeet! I rode one in 06, but I'd love to ride the new 96 ci. The 88 ci model was a bit underpowered to me, compared to the Road Star I ride now, but felt a lot more nimble. I was shocked that a bike that weighs 80lbs more could feel so good on the road.

Nice ride, now get some miles on her!

Youre quite welcome to borrow it anytime if you ride up to one of America's greatest suburbs - Canada.

Actually, Toronto is on my list of places to visit. They have a sports package that includes plane, hotel, Leafs tickets, and passes to the Hall of Fame! I might knock on your door after all! If a Flyers fan is allowed!

You're welcome anytime. Just keep in mind that the Leafs' season is mighty short. But we do have great theatre. Come check it out.

Had to be a Screaming EAgle! They have them at the dealer down the road from me for 21,900, and that is the Ultra Classic, the most expensive non Screaming Eagle! Run away from that dealer, and don't look back! I would spend the 21,900, but that 32K is really off the wall!

Paid $16,600 for my brand spanking new 06 Road King last July, I can't imagine what they could have put on one to make it worth over $30,000.

Can't be any shorter than the Flyers this year! I think ours was done in the first ten games!

What a sweet ride! Much more than I ever expected and a very noticeable difference from my C50T. Although the Street Glide is considerably heavier it is incredibly balanced and rock solid over pavement where my previous bike would feel much less stable. This one is vault solid.

Power delivery is pure joy, with lots of windup before having to shift. Amazing torque and smoothness. Can cruise with ease at 140 km/h below 3000 rpm in 6th. Very rarely need to go beyond 4th since it's good for 100+ km/h (60 mph) without straining the engine at all.

Very comfortable riding position, awesome dash panel layout with a very sweet Harmon Kardon music package. Sound is totally clear at 140 km/h, in fact I find myself having to turn it down because it has variable auto volume control that allows the volume to creep up with the surrounding engine/wind noise.

I really love the feeling of not having to look through a windshield yet have minimal wind buffeting even at highway speeds.

The bike is a gorgeous work of art, has excellent vibes and a solid Harley roar.

For me this was one great deed. It is everything and more than I anticipated from my 1st Harley. I am very pleased with my choice.

I know it's in a different ballpark than most metrics financially, but like the old adage goes "you get what you pay for". In this case it really does stand true.

The entire set up with high intensity bulbs, relocation kit and labor was about $1000-$1100 Cad. I know it's quite costly but I like the look better than the single lamp and also believe it makes me much more visible to cagers. The cost is irrelevant in this case, its more of a safety issue.

Thanks for the compliment. The light bar makes a big difference on the front end, I find the solo headlight a bit plain.

My Bro-in-law has a bike EXACTLY like that..he let me ride it last nite, and I couldn't wait to get off it!......smaller than my C50T, and less comfortable.I didn't like it, I didn't like it at all!...course, if I had just put myself in debt for $22,000, I'd try to convince myself how much better it was, but I really don't think it is..matter of fact, I wouldn't pay over $10,000 for it.
