Default New Bike

Just wanted everyone to know I have switched from cruiser to Sport Touring. I have recently purchased a 2006 Honda ST1300 off of ebay. I am excited b/c I have loved the looks of this type of bike for the last couple of years and finally got the opportunity to purchase one. I am going to sell my 98 Intruder LC but I am not in any hurry. So everyone keep your ears open for anyone looking for a nice classic cruiser.

Congrats on the new purchase. I just went the other way myself. I went from a Standard styled Sv to the Marauder. Why not just keep both bikes?

I feel that one may get neglected and I may need to money to pay off the loan of the new one. Don't get me wrong I am in no hurry to sale but everything is for sale at the right price.

CONGRATS!

I've always been concerned with buying a bike/auto off of EBAY.
Hope all works out with the new bike.

Maybe you can keep both bikes.

I understand the Honda will ride totally different from the Intruder, so keeping both lets you ride the one fitting your mood.

I also bought a new bike to me. I always buy used I can't see paying the bank. That way I go out and buy new things for it that I like and not tied into a big loan.

Well a bought a Kawasaki Concour. I tell you it rides alot differncent from my LC1500. But I'm keeping both . The LC for the weekends with the Misses.

congrats! and welcome to the sport side of the population!!!

and ya, let us know how the eBay transaction works out. i've been a bit apprehensive about buying bikes or cars through there, but it's been good for all kinds of other stuff (even items over $1000)

Ebay transaction went well. The only reason I considered to buy this bike is due to it being only 2 hours from where I live. At the end of the auction I was contacted immediately from the seller. Super nice man, the bike was exactly what the pictures showed on ebay. I gave him the appropriate funds and he even helped me load up the bike on the trailer. I was even able to purchase an extra set of tires from the genleman. The only reason the seller was selling the bike is he also had a BMW touring bike that was his primary bike. The honda I bought was only 1 year ago with 2800 miles.

I was finally able to ride the Honda yesterday and the first thing I noticed was how nimble it was. The bike cruised well and really like the electric adjustable windshield. It is going to take a little getting use to due the different riding position and riding on pegs and not floorboards. Well that is all for now and thanks for the input/additional comments.
