I'd have a hard time giving money to any company that sells ripoffs of another company's designs. Somehow I doubt the Givi "clones" are as good as genuine Givi stuff, also. You get what you pay for.

I agree with you Clint, but you must be talking about the Trunk. I have never seen anything in the Givi catalog that looks anything like those hard bags.

I have two different sets of Givi side cases for my V Strom, E-21's for around town, and E-45's for longer trips. I also had a weak moment and bought a knock off non Give trunk, the quality in the knock off is non existent, and the trunk won't last another season (I have one full year on it)

I expect the side bags will last for many years to come, and have proved themselves to be quite water proof, the trunk,,,,,,not so much.

Yeah. This one's a blatant knockoff of the E36(?).

Rickster,
Did you buy hardbags from this guy? And if so, are you saying they are OK? Waterproof and worth the money?

Nate

My Givi bags I bought from a local dealer, and yes they are waterproof. The knock-off trunk I bought on-line, i don't remember the name of the site, but it looks the same as in the link above. The trunk is not waterproof, and doesn't look like it will last very long.

What do you think of these Mutazu hard cases?
MUTAZU Motorcycle Trunks

The price seems good and they look nice.

Those are cool, but a little much for my M50. And I don't want lights because I don't want to deal with wiring. Thanks for the link though.

If you want to go cheap JC Whitney has some stuff that comes in under $100 and works OK. It's basically cheap crap compared to real stuff but if you don't let people get too close to it and you go into it not expecting much it might work out for you.

I bought some Mutazu saddlebags. I wasn't expecting anything great as they were so cheap. I can dirll holes in the and do whatever I want without worrying about ruining them as they are so cheap. They work and are waterproof.
