My experience with Oneida is little different, I sent an email to them to inquire about the items that I was planning to buy, The answered one of the questions and when I resent the email there was no answer.

I tried to call and I got the the answer machine.

Anyway, I decided to take the risk and I ordered all the items and they arrived on time and with no issues.

I guess, Oneida is a low price, minimum support outfit, which means that if you order an Item and something goes wrong, they will not provide any support or take responsibility and if it goes well, you would have just bought the cheapest price on the market, so do your risk assessment before you buy.

I've ordered from Oneida several times and I always got what I ordered and on time. My only complaint is with the UPS brokerage fee.

Sorry to disagree with most everyone, but my purchase of an OEM luggage rack from Oneida Suzuki for my S50 was as smooth as silk. Other than purchasing accessories, etc. from local dealers, I've also had good luck with JC Whitney.

Unhappy Oneida

So is this the dealer in oneida,ny that you're all talking about ?
I live about 40 min. from that one.
A while back I was riding a suzuki, '93 - '97,and I went in there to scope the place out and possibly get some parts & service.
I never went back.
I didn't feel that they treated me with respect.
If that's the same place.
I didn't know they had a heavy web presence.

I'm pretty sure the store claims no connection. If anything, they are separate corp. divisions.

Contrary anecdote I guess--I've got my 3rd order from them on the way right now (some passenger floorboards and a tank cover). I've had nothing but good experiences from them, other than the annoying 3-day processing if you choose the cheap shipping.

I'd personally love to give them a try if only they would ship USPS to Canada instead of UPS. They are a high volume dealer and a lot of people on these forums use them.

I've used them a few times without incedent. Great to deal with and fast shipping to Canada.

Got my luggage rack from them no issues. When I ordered a set of crashbars for the wife, they sent a set for the 1400 instead...ruined the 'surprise' for her, but they refunded my shipping (which I used to ship back that set) and sent the correct set promptly.

Very-- make that EXTREMELY-- slow order fulfillment for a web based vendor. Order processing can take days... high shipping costs get you nothing but UPS GROUND-- that's GROUND-- shipment. And you will get a tracking number in the mail a full day before UPS even picks up the shipment... no tracking until then. If you have an eternity of time on your hands, the prices are great. But you'd better be ready to WAIT.
