Default Wider rear tire for a Marauder

Has anyone tried going a little wider (than stock) on the rear tire. I know wider tires are not as good in the handling department, but I'm just looking to go a size, or two, wider than the stock tire. I'm not hell-bent on doing this; if it requires modifications, I'll just replace it with a good stock-type tire.

Also, what is a good replacement brand?

Do a search on Volusiariders.com. A lot of guys are going with Metzler 880's, the 200 on the rear if I remember right. The M50 has the same frame as the C50 so it should work on the M.

I'm looking to see what 'will' work on a Marauder...anyone have any first hand experience?

As you have a Marauder, and not an M50, do NOT follow the recommendations on that website! The M50 is a completely different bike from the Marauder.
Check out The Marauder Intruder Group, and owners group for the old Marauder.

Oops! Sorry Matt! I didn't catch the fact that you had a Marauder. For some reason I was thinking M. Good catch DrBob. Thanks!
