| Hello everyone, Hope what I'm about to say doesn't get me flamed but I've been thinking about getting a Vulcan 900 LT. It is a hot bike and I have been looking at it for about two months. Since at one time my mind was made up I had joined the Kawasaki forum. Heres the dillima there seems to be some problems with some of the Vulcan 900,s if you read through their forum. Example Stalling at low speeds or downshifting. It's been blamed on everything from Idle, Computer to kickstand switch. Throttle sticking untill you burp the throttle. They say they hear a clicking noise and it has been troubleshot to the FI system but no resolves yet. Last belt whine. Blamed on too tight etc.. So far Kawasaki hasn't admitted to any problems and has had no recalls. Some riders have also reported none of these problems wich in itself is strange. OK even with all these problems most of the owners love the bike and say they would buy it again over a C50T. I'm not so sure still trying to make up my mind. Ive been looking at the 07 C50T it is very nice looking bike. Few pounds lighter than a Vulcan 900. The craftsmanship seems better in the little things. Sissy bar is nicer etc.. seat more comfortable so it seems. But the one thing that keeps me from swaying to the C50T is the only reviews I've read of it always says there is noticable vibration in handlebars at highway speed. This has kept me from making up my mind. I am hoping for input from you guys Ive heard alot from the Vulcan owners so it's your turn. If there was vibration is there any 07 owners that can let me know if it's been resolved? Thanks and oh yea first post so uhh Hello everyone |

| Can't say from experience, but tire pressures and size of the windshield have all been blamed. Check the old threads in the C50 archives for more info.

| colbycurtisI don't have a C50 but as close as you can get...The M50. The bikes are very similar. I have had my bike up to 160km/h and have not experienced any vibration in the bars. Admittedly, I believe the bars are different on the C50, but don't think it makes any difference in this case. I can't speak for the Kaw. But I would highly recommend the Boulevard line as a sound machine. I have ridden with Blackie1491, a member of this forum who owns a C50, and he often recommends it as well. ( I'm sure he'll add his .02 if he sees this post) Enjoy the site. I'm sure you'll get some good feedback over the next few days.

| I have an 05 c50 and am very happy with it. I do not notice any bad vibration in the handlebars. It has never bothered me. There may be a very slight one, remember this is a v twin with its inherent vibration due to engine design. It has never been enough to cause me any problems. By the way I have 10,000 miles on mine.

| I have an 06 C50T. I love it. "quote vibration in handlebars at highway speed.quote" I haven't noticed any more on my bike than any other bike.

| I have over 13,000 miles on my C50 and have not noticed any vibration to be concerned with. My Goldwing was like a Caddy, the C50 is more Chevy like, a working bike. When I do hit the freeway and run at a steady 130-140 kms, the bike holds it's line and no vibrations to worry about. I have ISO Grips without the stock barend weights. There is a little jack shaft effect from abrupt throttle input, but nothing to worry about. I have looked at the LT900 but have not ridden one. Nothing has changed my mind about the C50, I would choose this bike again. Having said that, you are the rider and should go with what you like. |

| Have owned a C50C since August 15/06 and have logged 3500 miles on her and have not had a single thing to complain about. The bike rides well two up, has plenty of power, handles well in the wind and is generally quite stable under all conditions. It is also very easy to handle in low speed manouvers in parking lots etc.. Overall I think this bike would satisfy most anyone looking for a strong reliable good looking and relatively affordable machine.

| Clunked into first gear ![]() | I have had my C50 for a year now, and about 2800miles on her. I would definatly recommend this bike to anyone. Great power, smooth ride, no mechanical problems, and 2up riding is great on it.

| They haven't been able to keep the Vulcan 900 on the floor in our town long enough for me to check one out so I drove 100 miles 2 weeks ago. It's a very nice motorcycle but the one I tested didn't seem right for me. I'm only 5-9 and strange at it may sound, the fit wasn't as comfortable as some larger bikes. It might be cool to have a first of series but there is always some engineering shakedown time on a new model and I've decided to stay away from this one. - Brian -
