| Any of you HD riders ever have trouble with the belt drive? How often does it need adjustment and how long will it last?

| THe Nomad is worse than the Electra Glide????? If memory serves, the Nad has about 2 inches more wheelbase... and I’ve got a scratch in one the saddlebags, because I thought it would turn just as short as the Ultra – I’ve never measured it, but I think the forks don’t turn quite as short either... The Nomad is just a slightly more spacious bike – tires sizes are 2 larger than the Ultra, etc., etc.... but the Nad sits slightly lower... Mine are set up very similar (I use the Ultra for solo mostly and the Nomad for 2-up and commuting), same saddle builder, same tour pak, dimensionally similar foot-peg/footboard placement... either is superb on the road if you like single crank-pin V-twins... But none of the cruiser/tourers are pygmies; whether Wing, Ultra, Nomad, Venture, whatever... But, regrettably, the garage question is a good one... for too many of `em are garage queens – which is okay with me; I never buy new because inevitably someone will always want to unload a perfectly good, low-mileage scoot when they find out it really doesn’t enhance their testosterone...

| Well, right or wrong, I found what I think is a good deal on a 2000 Electra Glide Classic. Won't take delivery for several weeks, but looking forward to trying it out. If it doesn't work I should be able to sell it in the Spring when demand goes up. I'm short, so will probably need to lower the bike. Heck, something to work on during Winter. Still keeping my C50 though -- too good a bike to sell, plus like everyone has said, much easier to handle in town. I'll plan to use the EG for highway commuting and trips. More later!
