I went for a 550 Km (340 Miles) trip yesterday and at one point I had done 260 Km (161 mi) and the gas lihgt still had not come on but I stopped and filled up anyway and it took 11 ltres to fill up, so I figure I could have still gone about 60 or so Kms (40 Mi) which I am very happy with. I was on secondry highways averaging between 80 -110 Kph (50-70 MPH)

At 11 liters you had 4 1/2 liters left. I have gone as low as 14.7 liters but that was cutting it to close.

I averaged 20 kms a liter for the first 19,000 km's, the last 2,000 I am at
20.7 per liter.

I don't know if it is the cooler weather or if I have changed anything in my riding habits.

It was a cooler day when I went for that ride so maybe that was what made the difference, I'm doing a round trip to Algonquin Pk tomorrow and its supposed to be a bit warmer so it will be interesting to see how the milage goes then.

Took a trip over to see my son at college a little over a hundred miles away. Filled up just before leaving, cruised at 75 mph and then refilled when I got there. Computed that I got ~42 mpg. After lunch I cruised back but this time I held it at 60 mph. Refilled when I got home and computed ~50 mpg.

I knew that speed makes a big difference, but apparently it makes an enormous difference on a C50T. Probably because of the windshield. But the good news is that I could probably stretch it to 200 miles between fillups on a long leisurely cruise.

Yeah Zuki...kinda have the same thing with my M.

If I drive the posted limit, I can go on forever (so it seems). But with those occasional speed bursts or going through some twisties at a generous rate of speed, she becomes a real big drinker.

But, this isn't new information...asking for more performance requires more fuel...it's pretty simple.
