Default C50's OEM mirror fell off on its own

Anybody have any issues with the C50 OEM mirrors falling off of their mounting post while riding? This happened to me the other day. Going down a smooth road in 3rd gear at about 40mph, I look over at my right mirror and I see it slowly starting to turn down on its own. I reach over to see what the problem was, JUST IN TIME as it fell off the post and I caught it in the palm of my hand. I never hit ANYTHING with the mirror EVER, not even as much as a slight rub against my garage wall while parking it. I don't even think I've ever needed to manually adjust it in the 1500 miles/9 months I've owned the bike. There's a little nut screwed on to a threaded pin behind the mirror itself within the mirror casing. That somehow broke in half, causing the mirror to just come loose, falling completely free of the mount. Brought it into the dealer the next day, and the service guy had another one from another C50 owner sitting right there that had the same failure. It's under warranty and will cost me nothing, but I'm just curious if anyone else has had this happen to them. Maybe just normal vibrations from riding caused this. *shrug ...but so soon? Maybe, because it's been SO hot outside lately, the heat caused it to fail. Dunno.
