Talking C 50 Water level check

Hey All,
Trying to check the water level in my bike. Its cold and the manual says bottom line when cold. Just curious. Do you check yours with the bike up right or on the side stand? And does it make a difference?

I check mine on the side stand and top off to the line, If there is any coolant in the reservoir then your good to go. It's just a over flow holder. BTW I wish they could have made it a less of a PITA to check, Those button head bolts are not the made of the hardest metal and have rounded off a couple at different locations.
