 |  customizing rear-end... ?
so im under-going a rear-end conversion, if you will. i purchased the 3" lowering kit from johns kits.com and i am planning on removing the whole black plastic assembly in the back. basically cutting it along the seam directly below the tail-light. and ive already made a bracket for the license plate that will attatch on the swingarm... but i ran into a slight dilemma. i am wanting to relocate the turn signals forward and below the porkchops, directly bolted to the fender. with the wiring in mind, is it safe to re-route the turn signals? can i just snip the cord and reconnect? im still new to the bike scene and i dont know if it is a single wire, or a bundle, or what?? the manual doesnt say, and i just dont want to end up with a rats nest in my hands. anybody got any good info on the matter? whatever happens, im going to take pics and post the progress and final result.  |
