| That you are pressing down to go into 5th, I am assuming you are using the heal shifter. You have to be fairly agressive with the shifts with the heal shifter. At least on my C90 I do. I think you are simply being to gentle with her.

| Found second gear by accident ![]() | Quote:
Make sure your fluids are up to part and the clotch is adjusted if necessary. At the beginning it was a little rough to top up to 5th gear. It when away as I kept riding and using it more and more. Last edited by PENJO; 06-24-2006 at 02:20 PM. | |

| May 2007 Member of the month ![]() | The "LC" and it's newer version the C90 both use the same transmission. The "LC" experiences a "Phantom Neutral" occassionally. It is basically a point of you not engaging it into gear properly. I know this from experience and I have had the same problem you experienced. Some times when I think I have it in gear and I romp down on it on hard acceleration it falls out. I rarely use my heel shifter due to that fact and if it is not corrected with an adjustement then look at Moccs Place . There he goes over teh correct greasing procedure to use on the bike which helps with the shifter mechanism.

| I agree I think you need it raised up - sounds like its in-between gears Also try this when u shift, keep your heel down on it untill the clutch is all the way out, then let it up. You may feel it drop down a little as you let the clutch out. and PLease - Please (everyone) use the clutch If everyone had to replace a gear dog (jsut to see what damage it does) there would be alot less clutchless shifting out there....... Im not saying you dont use the clutch....... but alot dont Rob |
