I had a wreck about a week and a half ago and wanting to get some input from someone that has had a wreck on a bike and it was the other persons fault. The appraisel came out to about 4500 in damages. The appraiser said he is waiting on something regarding the value of the bike to see if they declare it totalled or if they just have it fixed. Said it is so new he is having a harder time finding out the value of the bike. By the way it is a 06 M50. That part is actually going to be cut and dry. I am wanting to know kind of what to expect from a settlement for the rest of the issues. It was the other persons fault and they were citation. I know the insurance company will have to pay for the medical expenses. That is also a cut and dry area. The part I am wanting to get some insight it what could I kinda of expect for a couple of areas I know I can sew for which is disfigurement and mental anguish. Give some history which may help explain my situation. The disfurement is coming from the road rash I got on my right arm and right knee and a cut on the head on the left side. The other area is the mental part. At this time and I nervous anytime I see anyone starting to pull out and I am not even on a bike yet. The part that is depressing is I really enjoy riding and I am not able to do that at the time due to the bike part has not been settled and due to injuries. I also play golf about 5-7 times a week because I am trying to go pro. This is putting me out of golf for at least two months and causing me to at least miss three tournaments I had expected to play in. Any advise would help.
