Hello out there Suzuki C50 owners! We are now into 2 mos of loving our C50 ... However, the passenger ME, couldn't figure out why my knees/legs were hurting so BAD. Well, I measured the distance seat to peg on our son's Harley that we were "keeping warm for him" while he was in Iraq & our C50 and there is almost a two-inch difference! DUH, no wonder I'm in pain. What the heck can we do? Doesn't seem like much room to lower the pegs ... Is there a way to raise the seat ? ? Do they make much thicker seat? -( Boo! Hoo! Need to get this resolved ... we LOVE this bike otherwise. Thanks, Cheryl:

I think some of the aftermarket companies makes peg lowering kits. Someone like Kuryaken, etc. Check out Metric thuinder and J&P Cycles to see if they have any ideas.

There seems to be two ways to do it quickly. You gain some with the Jardine pegs at: http://www.nopork.com/shop_product.a...=2006413781078 Several have used the Waynesville extensions at: http://www.waynesvillecycle.com/footpeg_extensions.htm with and good passenger floorboards such as the affordable J.C. Whitney at: http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...002054/c-10111 or use the original round pegs. Clint

There is another alternative from cruisercustomizing .com. Cycle-istic passenger lowering kit. I have it and it works well. Lowers and moves forward a bit the passenger pegs. I can post a pic if you are interested. I believe they are a little less expensive than some of the others I have seen-but still not cheap.

I would like to add Passenger footpet extensions to my Suzuki Intruder 1400. I found 3 different styles at 3 different websites listed below. Can someone give me some insight on which style they have and if they are happy with it. I am wondering if the ones at value accessories would be flimsy? My wife would like footboards if possible. I wondering if the floorboards would have alot of vibration. Would the more expensive ones cause less vibration. I would appreciate any imput. Thanks http://www.accessoryinternational.co...Code=AU7330500 http://store.valueaccessories.net/in...PROD&ProdID=59 http://www.waynesvillecycle.com/footpeg_extensions.htm

As an FYI I recently did the left to right switch with the extender as outlined in the Volusia Rider forum. The cost was about $4 for the bolts and the black iron pipe - at my local hardware store (yes some of them still exist!). The switch took maybe 45 minutes. The feedback that I get is that the position is not significantly lower - perhaps an inch or so, but it does move the pegs forward and out for a more relaxed foot position. For the cost that may be a way to start.

| I did get the peg lowers that are all chrome. My Bride said that they helped but in lowering the pegs they make her feet farther apart. We then got us a Mustang seat and that pillion is a little taller and alot wider and it seems better for her so I removed the peg lowerers. They can be had for about $88.00 from Onidiea Suzuki.
