| Was thinking of getting a new seat for an 06 S83. Which do you guys think is the most comfortable. The only after market seats that I've ever heared of Corbin. I want to get one with a back rest for both driver asnd passenger. Jim

| Corbin and mustang both make seats for the s50 + s83. However, I always strongly recommend that owners of a new bike wait a year or 5000 miles before changing the seat, especially if it is their first bike. Any seat is uncomfortable until it breaks in, and any seat in uncomfortable until you get used to riding. Once you get used to riding, and to that bike, you can make an educated choice for a new seat: do you want a softer one, or one that offeres more support? Do you want gel to eliminate vibration, or foam to absorb bumps? Do you want the seat to be wider, longer, shorter, closer to the ground...? Until you ride the bike for a while, you really don;t know, and you may end up dropping $300-400 on a seat that you end up not liking.

| I have a C50 and added a Corbin Gunfighter around 500 miles in. It is soooo much better than stock. It lowers me an inch and it feels better. HOWEVER, the passenger may say otherwise. I ride solo so...so what ;-P Anyway, the stock seat felt like a phone book to me. The Mustang raised folks so being short-legged that was not preferred. I could not find other manufacturers for the C50 & I heard RAVE reviews about Corbins...so there it was. I ordered mine off their site. http://www.corbin.com/suzuki/sblvdmenu.shtml Scroll down to S83/Intruder 1400 |

| Mustang #1 for comfort, 2nd is Corbin, and a distant 3rd for looks/style/coolness is Granucci (sp?) DS

| I out a Mustang one on my C50. Got it from Oniedia Suzuki and saved about 80. I think. I believe it was $350. wiht shipping. I checked their web page and they make a nice one for your bike. It made a huge difference on the ride. I am about 200# and the seat used to bottom out when I would ht anythng as small as a manhole cover depressed about and 1" or so. It felt wierd sitting on it stationary but it shines when moving. I would not go back to the factory one for any reason.

http://www.intruderalert.com/accesso...nd&AccessID=54 Only thing is Saddlemen is not always currently selling seats they've sold previously, but it doesn't hurt to check with them: http://www.saddlemen.com/saddles_custom_p2.html | |
