Rob
Well mates I think it sounds great debaffled and I think the drilled holes definitely cost you a little in performance. At normal speeds it's still way quieter that my neighbor's Harley Night Train with straight pipes, or any other Harleys I hear for that matter. And the sound is not as low as that. But it sounds mean enuf where I am real happy. No complaints from the neighbors on the other side of me who hate anything loud (they always close the doors and windows on the 4th of July when we do fireworks). And no funny looks from the police for noise at all, and they get picky around here. With the power benefit I say it is a slam dunk benefit to debaffle as per the Lyd video. My wife doesn't quite get why I love the new sound so much, but it doesn't bother her either. And I like the extra power a lot too.

When you debaffled the pipes or drilled the pipes, did you need to reprogram the computer?

when you debaffle or drill the pipes you do not need to reprogram it will compensate on it's own.

Rob,
My wife and I have had several day long rides since debaffleing with no problems. I think you'll be fine.

Default Debaffle C90

Has anyone debaffled a C90? I like to try this but am unsure how much louder it will be compared to a c50.

You can't debaffle a C90, if you want a different sound, you have to get new pipes.

Default VStar 650

Would the process be the same to debaffle a 650 VStar? Has anyone done it?

Exclamation I Cannot Play This Video!!!

I can't view this video because when page is loading it shows an error and nothing plays . The link at the bottom of that page refers to location that doesn't exists .
Could someone, PLEASE either fix it or upload it to youtube. I would love to see this video before I will yank those baffles out off my bike .

Sorry, I don't come around here too often. The page load error problem is likely on your end, but I fixed the download link. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks again to all for the kind words. Happy this thing keeps helping folks make noise.

lyd

EDIT: Oh, btw, do not upload it to youtube, please. That would be bad.

I debaffled my wifes 750 Shadow Spirit yesterday.

The Shadow was easy; all it took was a 1 7/8" bi-metal hole saw and a pair of vise grips.

The baffles in the honda pipes are not welded so thry pull right out once you cut through thr backing plates.

A grinding wheel on the cordless took care of the 1/16" or so of backing plate that was left.

It sounds 100% better and runs exactly the same. No backfiring.
