| Has anyone experienced a binding clutch cable. Mine on the 109 was really grinding when I would pull it. Felt like it needed to be oiled. It got pretty bad on the ride home from work but when I got it on the driveway it worked fine again. Anyone experienced this problem before and how to remedy it?

| Make sure the cable isn't twisted anywhere. A bend in the cable cover can cause it to bind up. Next, make sure it isn't rubbing against anything and causing it to fray. After that, try lubing it. How old is your bike? If it's not older than 3 years old, it's odd for that to happen. Lube generally does the trick.

| Call and find out if it's faster to get an appt or walk in for the work. Also, you should be able to take it to any Suzuki dealer, so if there is another one in the are that can get you in faster, check that out. BTW, you should see the wait it is to get into a Harley shop right now. 2 weeks + for general maintanance and if you speak to the manager, you may be able to convince him to get you in earlier depending on the problem. The wait may get longer soon too since we are getting into the warm season. |

| My clutch cable was stiff also. The shop during set up found it and adjusted it. Went back to have the shock adjusted, went down one click, ride not as harsh. They looked at the cable again, it was still a little stiff, made another anjustment. It feels smoothe to me. Larry |
