Default Anyone had problems with Pirelli tires?

Just changed out my tires on my 05 C50T...went to the Pirelli M 66 tires and they bounced at 45 mph. Took it back to the shop that installed the tires and they supposedly oredered another one and this one bounces along at 35 mph and seems ok at other speeds. Problem is coming from the rear tire according to them....anyone?

Are they balancing them or just using the fabled "paint dot" method?

Question

Your tires were worn out already, how many miles did you have on them, checked mine over yesterday, I'm @ 5,380 mi., looks like a good 1,500 mi left on the rear, and atleast triple that left on the front!

Wish Avon made the Venom X Whitewall in the "Right Sizes"

I haven't had a problem with Pirelli on the rear, except for wear. But when I put one on the front (Replacing a Bridgstone). I had a bad vibration @ 75. I took the bike back to where it was mounted, and the rebalanced it (Bubble level, both sides). It was better, but still started to bounce @ 80 Indicated. Not safe for expressway riding. I ended up going to a shop that had a "Spin Balancer". The tire weights were moved and some added. Now it's good to 100 indicated.

One possibility might be the bead not seating properly, but so far, the spin balance seems to be the answer.

I found Pirelli's ride and handle better than Bridgstone, at less than 1/2 the price, but wear out a lot sooner

I have right at 1000 miles on a set of Pirelli MT66 tires. I haven't had any problems with them and I've had them at highway speeds of 90+.

If they're bouncing I would suspect a balance problem also.
