| I plan to install a Cobra C exhaust system on my 06 C-50, the catalog states that "The Cobra Jet Kit or power commander are recommended for most systems", I'll not be changing anything on the intake side, only the exhaust. Do I really need a power commander? Can I get the stock computer flashed programmed if I need too? I'll soon be 64 years old and I'm not concerned about super duper speed or break neck accelleration, I just want to ride but with a little more exhaust notes. Thanks.

| U.B's LoveChild ![]() | Some say you need it while others say you don't. I believe Danr has his stealer update his stock cpu to account for his setup. Unfortunately there isn't much hard evidence showing improvement one way or another. I have the PCIII and noticed the change immediately, but I never had my stock cpu re-mapped. You might want to ask your stealer if they can update your stock cpu and go from there. Sorry I couldn't be more help but the debate about this will start again now that you posed the question. Good luck, TT

| I just put on new pipes and intakes and just went to the dealer to have it re-mapped $75 vs buying the cobra was a done deal to me.
