I used Mothers Mag Polish. It takes a couple of applications to buff them up.
I then applied a coat every few months to keep them up.

I use Flitz metal polish with a drill operated polishing ball. Takes no time and works fantastic. Bought a 1980 Honda 400 at a garage sale for 200. Took it home, started at one end and in an afternoon had it looking good. New battery, oil and gas at rode it that afternoon. Put it on Craigs list and sold it for 3 times what I paid. Used the Flitz on the paint, the wheels, the fenders, the chrome, the engine and let the polishing ball on the end on my battery powered drill do all the work. Clint
