Specifically the 55 Watt driving light page. You probably shouldn't use 55 watt lights on the Savage, but plenty of automotive shops should carry a single pole mount light that will work the same way If you use the method on my site please let me know as a pic would be nice
would the fact that i have a 14 volt battery instead of the typical 12 v change your recommendation?

most batteries range in use from about 13.5 volts down depending on how worn or bad the battery is, standard is 12v. most electronics that can only stand the 12v will have devices to only get that amount, however lights can allow for 13v or so, so yeah, the battery can go up to 14v when you are highly reving the bike I belive. this is normal, its still a 12v system. as for getting more light, try popping an 80/100w bulb in the stock light, quite a lot more light I can assume, anyone should be able to do this.

Be careful if your bulb housings and lenses are plastic. You can melt them by increasing the bulb wattage like that. Metal and glass are probably OK.
