Greetings All, Thanks in advance for any help you may provide. I just bought a 2005 Suzuki C50 Boulevard with 870 miles. It's a Salvage title because someone put a little damage on the front fender and used their "Replacement" clause in their insurance to get a new one. Basically it's missing it's front fender and has a small dent in the tank. When I bought it, they showed me the only mechanical problem it had. Apparently when the last owner dropped it, he did a little damage to the heel-toe shifter. The bike shifts and runs PERFECT. However there's some kind of seal that is between that shifter and some oil resevoir. This seal apparently is broken or damaged as it's dripping oil from that area. He said it would be easy to fix and even told me what I needed to do to replace it. But what I didn't get from him is the name of the part. I don't know how to find this part so I can get it and put it on. Also, the bike as you might imaging needs an oil change after I get finished doing this. How difficult is an oil change on this bike? I do them on my car all the time, but I'm new to riding. The dealership said they'd do it for 80 bucks plus the cost of the oil and filter and whatnot. I'd prefer to do it myself and save some money if I can. Can anyone point me in a good direction for the information I need on this? Thanks, Jeffn |
