Default Just bought the wife an S50.....

....just got home a couple hours ago with a new S50. I had to ride it home for her. Seems like a nice bike, but I'm used to my M50, this felt like I was riding a moped, lol. We have to get her enrolled in the next safety course, etc...but so far she is doing great riding around the yard and the parking lot across the street....

How cool! Congrats to you and the missus. You may want to check out Night_Wolf's website on the Intruder/S50 bikes. Lots of good info.

Great choice. I really like the acceleration of this bike. For a cruiser it's pretty kickass.

Don't challenge her to a drag race.

that s50 is 100lbs lighter then your m50. that moped would leave your rolling ancor in the dust.

When are you going to post the video of your wife's "moped" bike kicking your M50's butt on a drag strip?

LoL, when hubby rode my S50 home, he didn't quite describe the ride as a moped but he definitely was unnerved by the ride. He's been riding his Honda PC800 for so long, then to go to such a light, nimble, and speedy thing just completely threw him off. I do love dusting his butt on some of our leisure backroad rides. I hope she likes it as much as I do but then again, that won't be hard to do.

I've always like the looks of that bike. My ex-wife had one. Reminds me of a chopper.

My fiance is picking up an 06 Red S50 this month she rides a Rebel right now, but wants something more highway worthy. the S50 is 100lbs lighter than my 800 Vulcan Classic! She will have no trouble taking me in a drag race and I bet that bike will handle better than mine. The red is awesome! the website does not do it any justice at all. What a sweet bike, we can't wait till her Rebel sells and riding season kicks in.

Might want to hang on to that Rebel. I still ride it more then any of my other bikes. She's gonna freak the first time see fills that S50 and finds it costing her twice as much!

Well, sh*t hit the fan last night. My wife's mom found out she bought a bike and all hell broke loose. Mind you, my wife is 27 years old, a college graduate, a board certified Registered Nurse and a mother and her mom is still raising hell about the bike...to make a long story short, I eavesdropped on the phone conversation between them and found out some things I always suspected, but couldn't prove. I found out her mom hates me, lol. All of this over a bike. Her mom thinks it was my idea for the wife to get a bike, but in reality it was hers all the way....anyway, I told the wife her parents are no longer allowed in my house and all planned family get togethers will be without me, by my choice. So, to make a long story short, the S50 is going back to the dealer with 35 miles on it and I will be getting a 4 wheeler and a backrest for my M50 so the wife can ride along....you gotta love in laws.
