Arby's sells them... it's breaded and fried, 3 peices of chicken breast meat for $1.27 or something...

Seriously though, when the bike turns, it uses the edges of the tire. If an unused portion on the edges of the tire forms, (as will happen with larger rear tires,) they are called chicken strips... as in, "you're too chicken to lean the bike over far enough in a turn"... They shouldn't form with stock tire sizes.

Ok serisoul now... What is this so called chicken strip?
It is the contact wear area on your rear tire, the width of the area denotes your level of testosterone. That is the myth in some circles

Chicken strip is the part of the tire that you don't use when you lean your bike over in a turn. If you have a bigger chicken strip, than some would say your a bigger chicken.

I too have 1/4" chicken strips.

But I also only have about half of my peg indicators left.
