Default VS800 died???

I have a 2003 VS800 Intruder. I just got back from a ride where my bike just died at a light. No electrical, no lights... After 5 minutes of poking
around the connections I tried the ignition switch and the lights came on.
But I don't think it was from the poking around. Didn't find anything loose.
It was about 62 degrees outside. I don't think it overheated.
This is the first time it's done this. The bike has about 4000 clicks on it.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanx.

Unfortunately the warranty is only for 1 year and that expired in March.
When I got home I checked the battery and it was 11.5v with the bike off, and it measures about 13.3v with the bike running. So it appears to be charging. Grounding looks good and found nothing loose. I'm beginning to suspect the ignition switch
