Damian2888 and I got in 300 kms yesterday.
Great day for a ride lots of bikes on the road.
Due to school costs, Andrew's bike is being sold.

We stopped for bruch on #7 at a Lodge and watched a couple of Harley guys do a walk around of my bike, I get more attention since I debadged and it is a laugh to watch them.

Also saw 2 older porshe's, with senior drivers, looks like 1 decide to cut donuts on the highway. He was rearend in a 6 foot deep ditch, with his front stcking up and both drivers were standing on the road waving people thru and laughing.

Not all squids ride bikes, or are amongest the younger group.

Hey Atlas
Are you on day shift as I see your are logged on for a long period of time.
I think you are just dodging the fact it is your turn to pay for the coffee.

Rode a nice loop last Thursday - Horseshoe Bay to Langford at 0735, then up the Sunshine coast to Powell River, waiting for ferries as appropriate, then lunch in Lund before getting the 1715 ferry to Comox. A high speed dash down the Island highway got us to Duke Point in time to catch the 2015 to Tsawassen, then home by 2045. Not sure if this could be done on the weekend when things are busier, and haven't checked the ferry schedule - they changed it after the Labour day weekend.

Give it a try some time - it sure beats anything the Fraser Valley has to offer!

half hour to go and I'm done...
That argument sounds believable for a second.
The fact that you have wine waiting for me blows that theory out of the water. I'm trying bud. Kids are getting settled back in school. Mid week riding is just around the corner.

I may even spring for one of those fancy Starbucks numbers, he, he.

That island ride sounds nice. Another is the route through Sechelt up into Earls cove... It's still on my to do list this summer.

Hey Atlas
Did you do the Duffy Lake ride???
That cup of Java is getting cold!!!!

I took the wife's car in for service on Sat., got it done free!!!

We pickup her new car tomorrow, it would have been cheaper to
pay for the service.

Hi Blackie.
5 guys from work and myself left Ft. Langley yesterday @ 10:00 am for the Duffey Lake Loop. 600 km's later, I pulled in the driveway at 7:00 pm. What a Motley Crew we were.

2006 Boulevard M50
2005 VMax
2004 Kaw Z1000
2001 Kaw Drifter
2006 HD Road King
2003 HD Road King

What a ride! Had planned on taking a whole lot more pics, but it's tough to do on a ride with a group that size, with the distance we needed to cover.
Doesn't sound that impressive with the distance and time, but it was a workout. More twisties than can be counted...with lotsa hairpins.
There was a good variety of hills, climbing numerous passes, with breathtaking views of alpine glaciers lined with aqua coloured streams at their foot.( Next time I come this way its with a 4 piece flyrod!)
I'll see what I can gather for pics and post either here or in the 'favorite ride' thread.
I can see why Destination Highways (MC riders 'bible' in these parts) rates this ride as #3 in BC. For any locals contemplating this ride, don't put it off any longer.

We stopped in whistler for a bite at 4:00 pm at the Longhorn (Foot of Blackcomb). Had awesome weather the whole time and we all finished the trip safely despite lots of peg scraping. The Z1000 is a rocket, and the VMax is one awesome machine, despite the older tech. I pushed the M and was pleasantly surprised. I actually like the bike even more.

On a humerous note, had the HD riders envious of the sound of the Cobras! One has stock pipes and he's whining how quiet his '06 now sounds. Ha.
Fueling this fire is the rider on the Drifter (who also has Cobras) commenting how my pipes were the loudest of the bunch.

I'll see what I can do with posting some pics.
BTW...The day before the ride, I took my wife out #7 to Harrison Hot Springs for a bite. The Sandcastle competition is there until October...Perfect for any grandfather to take his grandson out to see how the big boys build 'em.

I'll keep in touch bud
Darren

We'd be happy to facilitate a southern BC tour.

But your neck of the woods must look pretty close to these pics though, huh?
Toss some of your riding snapshots into the mix. Central B.C has got some serious exploration potential.

Where my sister and her family lived was the sticks.

RR1 Site 30 Comp 26
V2N 2H8

They are in Brantford, Ont. now, my wife's birthplace, the same place that hockey player is from, you know, what's his name.

I still remember the smell of the pulp mills.

We were heading to Vancouver, in a small motorhome, on vacation from Whitehorse, My boys were 7 and 5 then.
