Mostly beautiful. We had rain a couple of times and we did not see much of Crater Lake due to T-Storms, gotta go there again.

Default Gas Town Show and Shine 2009

Some photos from the event, the new Triumph, vintage BMWs and a Triumph, a Kawi Drifter and the 2010 Road Glide [very good looking bike, wonder how it rides?]

Default C50 spark plugs and valves

Hey Bob,

Do you replace your spark plugs every 12K and inspect the valve clearances? Also, I forget what kind of oil you preferred, mineral, semi-synthetic or full synthetic.

Thanks,

E.

P.S. I just changed Suzy's oil and switched to 10W40 Motul 5300, put Suzuki OEM filter. Wonder how much difference the semi-synthetic will make?

I have changed plugs once and have 42,000 kms on.
I do the oil and filter every 5,000 kms.
Have always used mineral oil. My oldest son used synthetic in his sport bikes.
For me as long as I changed my oil and filter on a regular basis, I see no reason to spend the extra.

I am due to change plugs and rear tire.

Thanks Bob, how about the valves? You know, to access the plugs, you have to remove the gas tank, so will you also take a look at the valves also?

I will take the bike into Motorcycle World when I have the rear tire replaced with a Kenda Cruiser tire and have them do some of the service. Although I have a motorcycle jack I leave most of the work for the shop. I have new pads sitting here to install, will do the plugs and and oil\filter change.

Do you have a service manual for the wife's C50, if not I have a spare.
And that offer of the OEM seat for the wife still stands, it is in
great condition.

Hey Bob,

So I was at Barnes' last Saturday, some pix are here. Really liked the Road Glide.

And thanks for offering the OEM seat. I keep telling my wife about the seat and trying to convince her to get a windscreen but she doesn't seem to want to change her Suzy at all.

Cheers,

Elvis

P.S. Yes we have a C50 manual, thanks again.
