Had a meet and greet, Suzuki Owners Group, on Sat.
Met at the De Dutch Restraunt in Newton, then about 10 bikes rode out into the Valley and back.
It was the first meeting of the BC Chapter.

We stopped at the Sasquatch Inn for a cold drink and a chat.
So you may have crossed path with us Atlas.

Thumbs up Ride for Dad 2009

What a turn out it was, 1500 motorcyclists plus some of their passengers. I covered about 250 kms from city streets to highways to country roads... When the ride ended at Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino, Cloverdale, seeing all the riders pulling in, thought it was some kind of pilgrimage, Elvis greeted us on stage singing some country tune. I think I will take my wife with me next year.

Motorcycle World is our dealer sponsor for our Chapter.
Dropped in to check them out as it has been a few years, good prices.
An 08 C109SE demo. $10,999, $8,999 for an 09 C50SE.
They ran an ad last week for 1 only 08 C50SE at $6,999 AND GOT LOTS OF PHONES CALLS ASKING WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT. Sold 2 09's to those phoning, no one bought the 08.

Darren, some of us make up for smaller size in one area by moving up to a larger "Bike".

Check your PM.
Leaving in 20 mins. Should be around your house in 90 mins.

You can't miss the magnificent Nomad roaming in your neighbourhood but look for the black and red in particular.

Cheers.

Miss this message as I was in Newton and then working in the Memorial Gardenl.

Was just cleaning up when I saw the Nomad on 0 Ave.
It was nice to meet you Elvis, the ride was short but perhaps next time there will be more time. Bring your wife out and if you want we can swap her OEM seat out with my OEM seat as it is in good shape.

I hope you made out switching from #10 Highway to #99
OK.

I enjoyed the ride even through it was short.

Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob,

It was a nice ride, albeit short, really enjoyed it. Connecting to Hwy 99 was straightforward.

My wife is jealous because she has to go to work when I'm riding..... [but we'll have some time off together soon].

It was very nice meeting you [in person] and your wife, Bob. Take care.

Until next time,

E.

Just got back last night from 2 weeks in Florida. Family vacation to Disney and surrounding water parks. Had a fantastic time and tollerated the 30 deg/ high humidity fairly well.
Enjoyed getting on the bike again on my commute this morning.
With fishing season around the corner, my visits to the forum will continue to be sporatic at best. Happy riding gents.

Question Riding to Yellowstone National Park, WY

Me and my lady are contemplating on riding to Yellowstone National Park in about two weeks.

What should we expect as far as high altitudes, weather and road conditions go in the Yellowstone National Park area? Where to camp, any favorite lodging in the area? If you've ridden what were the highlights, must ride roads, loops, etc.?

Any relevant recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Elvis

P.S. Back home, back to work . Commuting and day rides to Squamish, Bellingham, etc to keep the Nomad and myself happy, see you down the road.

Thanks for the offer! We discovered a great ice cream shop on the "main" street, think it's called Carina. Will go there again.

Hi Bob, nice to hear from you. We camped in Penticton, some place close to Skaha Lake.

Default 2 Weeks, 3 National Parks, 5 States and 6000 kms

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the riding season. We're back to beautiful B.C. after a fabulous trip to WA, ID, MT, WY and OR. Been to Yellowstone, Glacier, Crater Lake National Parks and rode the Beartooth HWY. We logged 6000 kms, both Suzy and Nomad passed 10000 kms.
